Join the West Hartford African American Social and Cultural Organization (WHAASCO) on Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 1 to 4 pm at the West Hartford Conference Center in Town Hall, located at 50 South Main Street, West Hartford, CT, as we proudly host the 1st West Hartford Black Business Expo – a vibrant celebration dedicated to honoring and promoting the achievements of black-owned businesses physically located within the West Hartford community.
The event, themed "Empowering Through Diversity," aligns seamlessly with the mission of WHAASCO. WHAASCO is committed to fostering fair and equitable participation for people of the Black/African diaspora in the civic, political, economic, educational, and cultural activities within the West Hartford community.
This local celebration, which has been organized in partnership with the Town of West Hartford, is not just about business; it's about community empowerment and economic impact. By providing a platform for West Hartford black-owned businesses to showcase their products and services, the Expo aims to amplify diverse talents and foster collaboration among entrepreneurs in West Hartford.
The community is encouraged to attend, experience the lively atmosphere firsthand, and show support for the diversity of talents and entrepreneurship within the community. There will be an opportunity to purchase food, products and services from businesses. While attendees explore, network, and connect, they will also have the opportunity to relish the ambiance enhanced by the music played by DJ B Davis.
