West Hartford Symphony Orchestra's Fall Concert

  • Kingswood-Oxford Roberts Theater 170 Kingswood Road West Hartford, CT, 06119 United States (map)

West Hartford Symphony Orchestra presents Intimately Distant fall concert on November 7 at 3PM at Kingswood-Oxford’s Roberts Theater, 170 Kingswood Road.

WHSO is very proud of our two featured soloists from Conard High School who will be graduating in June 2022 and will be leaving the orchestra to pursue their dreams as they enter their college years. They are cellist Maggie Slap and violinist Thomas Tarutin.

Maggie Slap has been a member of the town’s orchestra since she was a student at Sedgwick Middle School. She will be performing the charming and challenging “Rococo Variations” by Tchaikovsky.

Thomas Tarutin joined the orchestra during his freshman year and will be playing the lovely “Romanze for Viola and Orchestra” by Max Bruch.

Two fanfares will round out the program. Aaron Copland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man” and Chiarappa’s own “Fanfare for the Uncommon Person.”

Ticketing is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased online at WHSO.org or by phone, 860-521-4362.
